Take Action

The onshore landing project can be stopped until the risks are objectively evaluated and the well-being and safety of our communities can be ensured. This can only happen if enough people act now and voice their concerns.

What you can do:

Volunteer. We're a self-funded grassroots group and always looking for people willing to help. Tell us about your interests and we'll find a way to put your talents to work.

Educate yourself. This project will have a major impact on our community; it’s worth your time and effort. Consider the facts and make your own decision about whether the project seems right to you. Ten Facts You Should Know  and
Fact Sheet and Pros and Cons of Offshore Wind

Get the word out. Talk to your neighbors, the businesses you frequent and any community groups you participate in. Where appropriate, use social media sites to share information.  Tools that make it easy

Know where your public officials stand. If you disagree with their position let them know and why. If you agree show your support.

Comment. Public comments carry weight and often support legal “standing” for lawsuits that further the cause. Submit comments to the BPU  and NJ State & Federal elected officials to demand that they pause this large-scale development project before the proper baseline science and a pilot project are completed.

Display a lawn sign. Lawn signs are a fast easy way to build awareness in your neighborhood. Request a lawn sign

Write Letters to the Editor. Most newspapers make space available for readers to share opinions on issues of interest to the customers they serve.

Stay in the loop. Initiatives often progress beneath the radar. Notices about public hearings are obscure, people are busy and the available information goes unnoticed. By the time people know what’s going on, it’s too late. If you want to stay up to date, request our email alerts.
